Helen Telgenhof Obituary
She was born on May 28, 1929, in Wyoming Township, to Bernard and Jennie (Morren) Van Vels. After marriage and starting her family, she moved to the San Fernando Valley, CA area for many years, working for the Los Angeles Unified School District in Special Education. In 1994 she moved back to Holland.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Telgenhof; and brother, Louis Van Vels.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Pamela Telgenhof of Holland, Tamela (Keith) Tarleton of Zeeland; grandchildren, Brandon Tarleton, Kyle Tarleton, Jessica (Nathan) Coles; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street Holland, MI 49424.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015, at Ridge Point Community Church (where she was a member), 340 104th Avenue, Holland, MI 49423, followed by a reception.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland, Resthaven at Home, or Ridge Point Community Church.

Pam and Tam, I visited Holland back in 1999. Your parents let me stay at their place during the Tulip Festival. I could see how close the family was and how much your parents loved their grand children. Both will be missed but will be seen again when we meet again in the Lord's presence.

HOW SAD TO SEE THE LAST OF MY WONDERFUL TELGENHOF AUNTS PASS AWAY. SHE AND UNCLE CHARLIE WERE SUCH GREAT HOSTS WHEN WE VISITED THEM IN CALIFORNIA. TOOK US EVERYWHERE TO SEE EVERYTHING. SO SAD THAT THE LAST TIME WE SAW AUNT HELEN WAS SO LONG AGO.

I worked for Charlie and Helen at CHARLIES many years ago and will always remember the good times we had working together. Especially the Saturday night chicken dinner special. Busy Busy!
