Willis Mullen Obituary
Willis was born in Plainwell on July 18, 1931, to Willis J. and Grace (Schreuder) Mullen. Willis served his country in the U.S. Navy through the entirety of the Korean War. He worked for 37 years at Consumers Power before his retirement from the Allegan County service center as a supervisor. Following his retirement from Consumers Power he worked another 18 years at Kendall Electric in Holland. Wil served as a trustee on the Allegan County Intermediate Board of Education for 15 years. Wil and his wife Aileen are members of Central Wesleyan church where Wil was a former usher and active member of the facilities team. Wil enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Aileen, children, Jon and Teri Mullen of Nottingham, NH, Gary and Luann Mullen of Copper Center, AK; four grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; sisters, Marylou and James Frosco, Charlene and John Gilbert; sisters-in-law, Adelia and Chuck Davis, Karen and Glen Perkin.
A service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will be Fort Custer National Cemetery. www.langelandsterenberg.com

We want to express our Thoughts and Prayers to Willis's Family and to his life in Eternity with our Lord. He became a friend when I came to Central Wesleyan, was always so kind to my Grandson and I. He always inquired as to our success whenever we fished in the pond at the Church. That is how our friendship began. God bless you and your Family, Wil.

Great man. Always enjoyed hanging out with John & Gary at the Mullen's house as kids. My dad always called him "moon" Mullens. Great memories in the old neighborhood.
