Carol Roddy Obituary
Houma - Carol Lee Roddy, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Carol was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church, Houma, LA on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:30am. Burial will follow Mass at Terrebonne Memorial Park in Houma, LA.
Carol is survived by her children, Timmy and wife Cindy Roddy, Meredith and husband Barry Daigle, Kenneth Roddy Sr. and Leigh Ann Daigle; grandchildren, Kenneth Roddy II (Jessica), Taylor McNamara (Brandon), Brittany Lyons (Andrew), Jackie Daigle (Conner), Jacob Daigle; great grandchildren, Dru and Briggs Lyons, Lillie Roddy and two great grandchildren on the way; brothers, Wilson Rhodes Jr. and Larry "Coonie" Rhodes.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Roddy Jr., parents, Wilson Rhodes Sr. and Elizabeth Rhodes; grandchild, Kenneth Roddy Jr., and sisters, Helen Copeland, and Vera Detiveaux; and brothers, Terry Rhodes, and Roy Rhodes.
Carol was dedicated to caring for her family; whom she loved tremendously. She enjoyed dancing and attending Mardi Gras; but she most enjoyed cooking on Sundays with her family. She was an active parishioner of Maria Immaculata Catholic Church.
Carol will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Her life will always be remembered for her caring and loving ways. She will always and forever be loved and never forgotten.

I'm just hearing about Carol's death and I'm sad. She was a treasure trove of information concerning our family and I'm so glad to be able to speak with her a few times. My grandmother was Ophelia Marie Rhodes (Trosclair) the sister of her father Wilson. RIP Carol and condolences to her immediate family!

I did not know about Carol's death until a while ago so I was shocked to learn that indeed she had passed away ! I have been thinking of her a lot lately and was going to give her a call very soon !! My grandfather was Luke Rhodes the brother of her father Wilson. We would enjoy talking about family members . God bless you.
