Dr. Merlin Ohmer Obituary
Visitation will be on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Landry's Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Thereafter, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Co-Cathedral at 1:00PM followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
He was pre-deceased by his wife of 68 years, Beverly Ohmer; parents, Tobias and Elvina Ohmer.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Merlin Paul Ohmer and wife Dr. Christine Trunk, Daughters Carol Ann Doucet and Susan Stephanie Chandler and husband Bill Chandler; grandchildren, Paul M. Ohmer, Megan D. Ohmer, Jayden R. Trunk, Catherine A. Peralta, Mary F. Blackman, Christa Mayo, Rachael Teel and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: NICHOLLS FOUNDATION, DR. MERLIN M. OHMER MEMORIAL FUND

I knew "Doc" from going to Mass at Ashford Court. I was so lucky to have known him, and he was a faithful attendee. We were all saddened by the news of his passing, and Fr. Larkin said last Sunday's Mass in his memory. RIP, Doc, I will miss you. We all will.
