Brian Gsell Obituary

Brian Gsell
05/21/1957 - 12/16/2023
Brian Frederick Gsell, of Texas, passed away December 16, 2023. He is survived by his wife, mother, daughter, two sisters, sister-in-law, son-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a lifetime learner. Brian completed his engineering degree at the University of Hartford and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His professional designations include P.E., C.F.E.I., C.M.I. and licensed P.I. in Louisiana. He was a proud member of the Boy Scouts Troop #815 in Rockville rising to the rank of Eagle Scout.
Brian loved his career as a forensic electrical engineer. He opened Gsell Consulting Inc. investigating electrical failures.
He was funny, loved to tell jokes and kind. He was an avid animal rescuer who fostered more than 40 dogs.
He worked domestically and internationally. His favorite thing was returning home, plopping in his recliner, watching sports and old movies while drinking a beer. He rooted for the Houston Astros, went to an Astros game on his honeymoon and liked musical theater.
Brian was a dedicated fisherman, eagerly looking forward to warm weather so he could take his boat to the lake. He returned home telling tall fish tales while deep frying and eating his catch.
He was a foodie who enjoyed eating out. He puttered around the kitchen, experimenting with seasonings and sauces.
Brian adored his daughter and was a loving Dad.
He is loved; always remembered in his Nellie's (wife's) heart.
His burial is private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to CAMO Rescue, a small dog rescue, www.camorescue.com or the Boy Scouts of America Connecticut Yankee Council at 60 Wellington Rd., Milford, CT.
