Cecile Folley McKenzie, 86, peacefully passed away on January 23, 2026. She was born January 7, 1940, in Waco, Texas, to Jean and Kenneth Folley of Mart, Texas.
Cecile was raised in Mart and graduated from Mart High School in 1957, where she served as head cheerleader during the year the Mart Panthers won their first official state championship. She later attended Kilgore College as a Rangerette and performed at the Cotton Bowl.
She earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Houston and served as Director of the Diagnostic Learning Center before founding The Education Clinic in 1984. Following her retirement to the Texas Hill Country with her husband, Mike, she remained active in local schools, continuing her lifelong passion for helping children.
She is survived by her son Curt Croshaw and his wife, Debbie; her son Cole Croshaw and his wife, Heather; her two granddaughters, Gillian and Monica; and her brother, Bud Folley, and his wife, Kathy.
Cecile will be remembered for her intelligence, determination, grace, and unwavering dedication to education and children. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched as an educator, mentor, mother, and grandmother.
