Dennis Kinney Obituary

DENNIS FRANK KINNEY, 45, of Houston, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2008. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents. Dennis is survived by his sons Raymond and Parker Kinney; Parents, Ed and Becky Kinney; Brother Korey Kinney and numerous relatives and close friends. Dennis was a licensed HVAC mechanic and electrician and an employee of Halliburton for 14 years. His joy was his two fine sons. Forever they will know that being their father, (DeeDaw), was his favorite part of life. Dennis's connection to God was his appreciation of the outdoors, especially being, "at the country." His handiwork in wood making will always be remembered, like his special swing for his mother. If wanting to contribute in a remembrance to Dennis, there will be a trust fund for his sons Raymond and Parker Kinney at Prosperity Bank, Sweeney, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 5pm-9pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2pm in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow burial.

We became friends with Dennis about 18 years ago. He became our son-in-law a few years later and he remained our "son" and friend for the rest of his life. Thank God for Raymond and Parker so that he will continue to be in our hearts.

TO THE KINNEY FAMILY:

I WORKED WITH DENNIS WHEN BROWN & ROOT WAS THE COMPANY NAME FOR WHAT IS NOW FROM KBR TO HALLIBURTON. I GOT AN EMAIL FROM HIM A WHILE BACK AND HE WAS GLAD TO BE WORKING ELSEWHERE OTHER THAN HALLIBURTON. HE TOLD ME HE WAS DOING FINE AND THAT HE WAS HAPPY. I ALWAYS TOLD DENNIS HE REMINDED ME OF MY BROTHER BECAUSE HE WAS SO LAID BACK AND QUIET JUST LIKE MY BROTHER. WHEN WE BOTH WORKED FOR KBR HE WOULD COME AROUND MY DESK AND I WOULD TALK TO HIM ABOUT GOD AND HOW GOD HAD HIS BACK. HE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT HIS BOYS (HE LOVED HIS BOYS) AND THE COUNTRY DIEBOLD. EVERYTIME I DRIVE UP HOME I GO THROUGH DIEBOLD AND I THINK ABOUT DENNIS EVERYTIME I DRIVE THROUGH AND THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS NO DIFFERENT. HE WILL BE MISSED.
MAY THE PEACE OF GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS PERFECT PEACE AT THIS TIME.
