Dennis was my best friend. For 33 years, he provided me with insight and perspective that, while not always totaling agreeing with, made me rethink my assumptions. Receiving this much insight and perspective could be wearing, but as you all know, Dennis would deliver his wisdom only when needed or after he'd adjusted your perception with "one" more round. He did everything with gusto, integrity and what could only be described as the Rossi Style. His career ran the gamut of geophysical trainee and inspecting pipelines to finding oil around the world all the while maintaining his expertise in baseball, eBay, and the coolest new thing. This broad range and depth of interest allowed him to talk to everybody about something that interested them. Dennis’ friends were very important to him; he always thought of everyone. But, most important to him was his family: Peggi, Rosalie, Kathleen, his parents and sister. He was always describing the latest goings on in a way that showed just how fervently he cared about them. I know we will all miss Dennis. His will not be an easy life to forget. No, we’ll remember every detail.

I have so many fond memories of Dennis from grad school at Wright State, to the Mobil Oil days, getting together in Singapore several years back, and even talking on our cell phones (catching up) as recently as last spring/summer.
We may have lost Dennis sooner than anyone wished, but his was a life well-lived.

Dennis & I worked together at Texas Eastern. I have fond memories of working with him and better yet playing Fantasy Baseball with him and others in the E&P group. He was enthusiastic about work and play and showed it with his unique sense of humor. Even though I haven't seen Denis in years his was such a strong personality that it is hard to understand that he is gone. My thoughts go out to his family in this time of grief.

Remembering all the good times we had in Saudi Arabia, in 1979 and 1980. Garth and Dennis ("Rossovichness") shared an office, and played on the same ball team for two years. Our thoughts are with you, Peggi and girls. We will always remember Dennis and his upbeat, good-humored personality.

I have so many great memories of Dennis. Our high school study halls where we would make our own sports magazines and laugh and argue over Clemente and Stargell or APBA and Strat-O-Matic. Our trips into Pittsburgh to watch the Pirates, the fun we had with the Ellwood City Colt League Cubs, eating Johnny's pizza and watching TV, and listening to Jonathan Winters albums. I remember his dog Spriggs and the time his neighbor's dog bit me after Dennis told me he was a friendly dog. Dennis was one of the dearest friends I've ever had and I'll probably be laughing and thinking of our great times together every day for the rest of my life.

Dennis's outgoing personality, humour, and view on life created some our greatest memories of our years in Houston. Mary and I send our condolences.

Dennis was always a good friend, always someone you could count on. Our shared passion for football and baseball made us friends forever. I look forward to seeing you again someday. Since you got there first, start setting up the leagues and one day we'll all be there to play again.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Dennis was a wonderful cousin, a Godfather to my brother, and a classmate to my husband in college. We regret we were so far away.

As I remember Dennis as a small boy he was always so sweet and so polite. He loved his Father and Mother and his Sister Mary Lynn. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Our prayers are with him and his family.
