In 1973, I was a senior at Houston's Robert E Lee High School and the best class in the school was her Oceanography class. She took us on field trips and the class was so much fun because of her. I have never forgotten her and prey for her family. She was truly special and will be missed by all that knew her. A sweet and fun loving Lady. We will all be reunited together one day. Rest in Peace Ms. Countee... Steve 'Genghis' Kahn (aka in her class - Sea Turtle)

Ms. Countee was my Physiology teacher wjrn I was in the 12th grade at Booker T. Washington High School in Independence Heights. It was always a pleasure attending her class each day. She was an outstanding, knowledgeable, and intelligent educator who was fair with her students and did not play favorites. The way she always projected her voice professionally when she spoke gave her a very distinct profile that helped me to learn how to speak publicly. May she Rest in Peace.

To the family, please know Ms. Countee was a very loved teacher at Robert E. Lee high school.

I was in the band and we were a small band. However, the way she announced when we entered the field made us feel like we were 500 members strong!

She was an awesome teacher and wonderful counselor. She will be missed.

My prayers to the entire family.

Ms. Countee in a one word summary - Awesome. I took her Oceanography class at Lee HS. I remember a lot of teachers and professors, but she is one of the few that stands out in my mind and that made a difference in my life and education. I always had a love for the ocean, but she was able to make me not only know the science behind it and appreciate it more. She was a great teacher, announcer and most importantly a great person and made school a joy to show up. She always had a smile on her face and kind words for everyone. She will be remembered and missed by many. Rest well Ms. Countee, well deserved.

Me. Countee was an original. She was tough, smart and wise. I only had one class with her, but I knew she cared. I wish there were more like her. To her family, thank you for sharing her with us. Godspeed, Ms. Countee.

Mrs. Counter was one of the most memorable teachers I ever had. I learned so much in her oceanography class at Lee I breezed through my geology class at Texas A&M. She was one of a kind.

Ms. Countee was one of those people you will always remember. She was a kind, sweet spirit that always pushed you to be the best in whatever you were doing. As the leader of the children´s ministry at Antioch she affected many lives. Her dedication and commitment was a blessing to us all. She will be missed but her legacy will live on in her family and those countless lives she touched.

Ms. Counted was my favorite teacher at Booker T Washington. Not only was she a super teacher but also someone you could talk to if need be. She was kind and understanding. I will always remember her standing at her classroom door and talking with Mr. Charlie Lucas as we were changing classes. Rest in piece your work here is done.

Sorry if this is a duplicate. There was a technical problem.
Ms. Countee was my
Biology and Physiology teacher at Booker T. Washington. Her classes were so informative and her teaching was so inspirational. It was the dedication of Ms. Countee and other teachers which inspired me to become a Teacher.
Rest In Peace, Beloved teacher.

I will always be mindful of quietness. boldness of Miss Countee's stature. Her fairness across the spectrum of relationships could even effect the relentless. The teaching ability of such profoundness gave rise even to those who could grasp most thoughts; which was only indicative of being "Driven By The Spirit of God". Rest On Soldier In His Presence.
