Douglas Anderson Obituary

Douglas Austin Anderson was born on June 20, 1942, in Hot Springs, Arkansas and was called home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Douglas was a devoted husband and father, ordained minister, and community servant in Houston, TX. Douglas married his college sweetheart Jacqueline McNeal Anderson. They had two children Jamil Anderson and Jessica Anderson (Preston). Douglas received his BA and MA degrees from Texas Southern University and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. A faithful servant of the Lord, Douglas was devoted member of Jordan Grove MBC. His faith was the foundation of his life and his compassion for others touched countless lives. Douglas was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline McNeal Anderson and son Eric Chambers.

I am saddened to hear that Douglas has left us. We worked at Texas Southern University together for several years in the earlier time of his career. He loved working with the students and always had a smile and a kind word. Accept my prayers and condolences.
