Ernest Edward Dattner Cronin passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on November 12, 1945.
A visitation with the family will be on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 5pm with the Vigil service beginning at 6:30pm in the Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road, Stafford, Texas 77477.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:00 am at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception. The Rite of Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to Dr. Ernest Cronin operation San Jose, Cleft Palate Mission Trip Endowment. https://christusfoundation.org/cronin-endowment/

Our deepest heartfelt condolences to Dr. Ernest D. Cronin's family!
Dr. Cronin was truly a remarkable, exemplary human being , full of love and compassion for mankind, whom I had the great honor to work with and serve alongside his staff family and many friends and volunteers!
I will always cherish wonderful memories made throughout the years of his many life-changing medical mission trips, OSJ fundraisers, Cleft Clinic, Christmas celebrations, OSJ gatherings at his house, and many other projects he carried with utmost integrity and care!
Very truly he was "the richest man in town!" All because of the many lives and friends he touched and inspired! Words are not enough to express our gratitude and admiration for for a life well-lived! Til the end, Dr. Cronin was faithful to his faith, family, friends and calling to serve with his many talents and abilities!
Praying for much strength and peace for his family!
Our hope is to one day see him again in Heaven, where God promises no more night or tears, nor pain or sorrow; only joy everlasting!
