Just scrolling through the pictures and memories. Fighting tears. I miss your presence and the way it use to be when we all gathered together to be with you. I still drink my water and rise early just as instructed. I love you. Kiss my goose for me and give love to all the family angels up there with u.

Happy Birthday Daddy, was just reminiscing about you today! You would have been celebrating 98 years.
I can just see you counting all the money you would have received today.
Thanks daddy for the memories. Love and missing you much! Rest in peace daddy! Your loving daughter Dianne!

Once again as thanksgiving approach us, there's so much for me to be thankful for, and one is having the pleasure of meeting you. You expressed your knowledge and wisdom to me. As I now approach the seventy-fourth year of my life, I understand more and more each day the things that you expressed to me. You set strong examples, you planted a great garden for your family, and now I am able to see the harvest. I am now trying to follow that example for my family, I only wish I can do half the job that you did. Once again sir, thanks for sharing your knowledge with me, and that's what I am thankful for.....

Just as the candle still burns warmly and brightly...so does your spirit and legacy. We continue to count our blessings for having been placed in your bloodline. We continue our journey as we try and honor your name and live out the priceless lessons, large and small, that you selflessly shared. All of the precious memories still linger.

Loved Even More,

Grandpa, as I reflect on my life as a child, I can remember you as a tall, soft spoken and humble man, and I remember asking you on the back porch one summer "Why you don't talk much"? and you said "There is no need to talk if there is nothing important to say, sometimes you have to listen to God and he will speak through you when it is time" And to this day I practice just that! I will truly miss the man who did not speak but talked with his actions! May you and grandmother enjoy eternal life together as I know both of you are hand in hand dancing! by the way can you give my daddy a hug for me..LOVE YOU

"Be thankful for what you have, Count your blessings everyday." Daddy, you always spoke those words to me. Being young I didn't fully understand it then. I'm so thankful you instilled it in me at a young age. Today I can say I'm so thankful God shared you with us for 94 years. A father who loved and gave his all for his family. I know now I can pass it on to my family. I can only hope it means as much to them as it has meant to me. Thank you for your love DADDY. Your daughter,

PaPa, you are the prime example of what every man, father, brother, grandfather, etc. should be. You raised eleven beautiful children by the side of your loving wife Alcenia. All of the values you both instilled in every branch of the Reece Family Tree shall forever reign. No words can express how much we all love and will miss you. First Ward just won't be the same. On the bright side, I know you and Gran are up there in heaven smiling down on what a BEAUTIFUL family you both raised. Tell Gran, Heather, Aunt Zate, and everyone else we miss them and shall reunite soon.

Love Always,

We can't help but love this family. The love that radiates from this website is truly touching. Our Heavenly Father has been kind to have kept Mr. Reese to pass on faith and love to his family. We did not have the pleasure of meeting him, but sure wish we had.

I know we are all feeling a little bit sad,
That we've lost our PawPaw, our friend and our dad.
Together we have cried an ocean of tears,
As we feel so empty and hold many fears.

But PawPaw would want us to know he's in a good place,
And that he watching us all with a smile on his face.
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be,
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family.

Rest in Peace PawPaw

Love always, James Chestnut IV.
