Irma Beerbower Obituary
1928-2017
Irma Jean or Jean as she preferred in her later life, was born and raised in Houston, Texas and she passed away here on May 17, 2017.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Ben; daughter Dr. Barbara West, son-in-law Carey West; granddaughter Allison Plaza and her husband Francisco Plaza. She is also survived by her nieces, Linda Ellison, Lois Gonzales and Lavern Hamon. Jean had many good friends that she enjoyed traveling with all over the world. Jean also dearly loved her little dog, Miguel.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home 12800 Westheimer Road Houston, Texas 77077 on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00am

I was so sorry to learn of Irma Jean's passing. I will always remember her wonderful sense of humor--she was one of a kind! My condolences to all the Beerbower family. I'm so sorry I will not be able to come to the service due to health issues I'm having now. My love to all.

Irma Jean was my first cousin by marriage. I spent a portion of every summer during my childhood visiting the Beerbower family. My memories of her are warm and happy. I remember thinking I wanted to be like Irma Jean when I grew up. Cousin Ben and Barbara Lynn and family, you are in my prayers as you grieve the loss of a wonderful lady.

Irma Jean was a dear friend to my mother for many years. I remember her great sense of humor and our times in Maine. Her kind words to me at my mother's memorial service 5 years ago will always stay with me. My wife, Diane and I send our thoughts and prayers to Ben, Barbara and family.
