Lena Huebotter Harrison

LENA HUEBOTTER HARRISON, a fourth generation Houstonian, passed away August 24, 2004. Mrs. Harrison was one of eight children born to William Frederick and Ellen Eckert Huebotter in 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Sam G. Harrison Sr. Mrs. Harrison, who embodied a warm, generous spirit, was most proud of her children and grandchildren who brought much joy to her life. In her earlier years she was an avid fisherman and hunter. Later, her hobbies included traveling, antique collecting and card playing. She was honored by Houston Baptist University for her contributions to Endowment Scholarships. She was also a strong supporter of the Science Center Research Park at Smithville, Texas, and The Kinkaid School. Lena is survived by her four children, Rebecca Baker, Sam G. Harrison Jr., Steven L. Harrison, and Ellen White, and twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother William F. Huebotter Jr., and sisters, Dorothy Kadi, Helen Yawn, and Margie Kelley. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, August 27, 2004 from six until eight o'clock in the evening at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Jasek Chapel at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. Contributions may be made to the Sam G. and Lena H.
