From the first time I've met Michael 10 or 12 years ago I felt that we will be good friends and we was friends I proud and thankful to life that I met him, he always glowed with positive energy and warmth coming from his extremely strong soul and his hart full of love. He was a first person I ask for advice when I had questions or problem and he always helped with good advice, I will miss him as a best friend and wise person. We spend a lot of time together but as it feel very painful now, apparently not enough.

I and Charla are very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Our days around him, particularly during our time in Midland, are filled with fun memories (Mike did enjoy playing dominoes). He was a pleasure to work with and always showed great integrity. He will be missed. Our prayers go out to his family.

It was my pleasure to know and work with Mike during start-up and early production of ARCO's Kuparuk field on Alaska's North Slope. He was intense, hard-driving but fun. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I worked for Mike at ARCO in the 90's. I have to say, Mike was the best boss I've ever had. What a gentleman.

I'm proud to say that I met Mike in 1966 and graduated from Texas Tech with him in 1970. Our Petroleum Engineering class was very small, and tight knit. I believe there were only 12 in our class. Mike is one of the nicest people I ever met, and extremely intelligent. My prayers and condolences go out to Mike's family and friends.

Mike was one of the best people that I ever had the pleasure working for at ARCO. He was always on top of things, but had a very easy going manner. We are going to miss you! Rest in Peace.
