It has been a year since you have gone,it seems like yesterday. As the morning sun rises and throughout the busy day,we know you are with us every step of the way. That faint breeze stirs around us and the stars that shine brightly above us,we know you are watching over us.We miss your quirky smile and sunny disposition. We know you are gone but are never far. We open our hearts and reach deep in our souls and there you are nestled in magical memories and a warm glow. Neel, you are missed by all your family and by friends and teachers.

Dear Kunal,Radha,Nikhil,

A year ago Neel left us...suddenly.Time just ran out for us.

Eight years ago,we spent a couple of weeks with all of you,the children met and we were looking forward to a bonding between us.On this visit,we miss Neel.We can know him only from what you have been telling us about him.He touches us in many ways.

In spite of the many challenges Neel faced you all gave him the best and he blossomed and enjoyed himself.

In all these years I wanted to be by your side especially when Neel was sick to help you out,to share the pain,to comfort you especially when he passed away.I want you to know that I prayed for you all and still do - always will.

When I meet your friends,I can feel the strength of the love and comforting thoughts that have helped you go through this pain and cope with Neel's passing away.

Neel's life has made us sensitive to people with special needs. The space he occupies in our heart will always be treasured and he will live on as part of us,in different ways.

Neel was a free spirit and this angel reminds me of him.

I want you to know that Ashok, the kids and I are there for you all always.we love you all...we miss Neel!

Neel was a young man who faced multiple challenges with grace and dignity. He loved his computer, bowling, friends, video camera and his family. We reflect on us who have done little with all that we've been given and admire those that have done so much with less. We will always remember Neel and the lesson of love he taught us. We know EXACTLY where Neel is and know he is healthy and happy and watching his father, mother and brother with love and tenderness. To Kunal, Radha and Nicky: you have our friendship, our support, our prayers and our love.

Neel was an absolute joy - with his ever smiling face. Yes, his contagious smile, his firm handshakes, and his warm and loving welcomes, are wonderful memories that we will all cherish forever. May God bless him and you all.

Mr. & Mrs. Dutta-Roy and Family:

I have had the pure joy of being with Neel for the past 3 years at McMeans. I loved seeing his smile each and every morning, he was always eager to come into the classroom and say good morning to everyone. He was a warm and caring person and thoroughly enjoyed life. It was fantastic to see such growth in him over the 3 years in many different aspects. His sense of humor was really starting to show the past year. Thank you for allowing Neel to be a part of my life, I will never forget him, he was a precious gift of life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and family.

Below is an Angels Prayer that, I hope, will give you some Below is an Angels Prayer that, I hope, will give you some peace and comfort, if not now than in the days to come. My deepest sympathy to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Weep not for me

now that I have passed.

Remember the laughter, the affection, the joy

not just the recent tears.

Cherish the memories, our hopes and dreams.

Hold fast to the love that we shared.

Be happy with the time we spent together

and being anew.

For I am not really gone,

I am closer than ever before.

As the morning sun rises

and throughout the busy day...I am with you.

Until the setting sun disappears on the horizon

and we watch the day turn into night...I am here.

You may feel a faint breeze stir round your head, while you slumber

as I gently kiss your forehead, "Good night."

The stars that shine so brightly in my heavenly sky

help me watch over you and keep you from harm.

I am the wind in the trees

and the song of a bird.

I am moonbeams in a midnight sky

and a glorious rainbow after the storm.

I am morning dew

and freshly-fallen snow.

I am a butterfly flying overhead

and a puppy happily at play.

I am a smile on a stranger's face

a gentle touch

a warm embrace.

Listen to the wind for my message of love.

Watch the sun rise and set in the sky with me.

Feel my essence encircle you with warm memories.

Open your heart to know...I am not gone.

Reach deep into your soul...You will find me.

I am here.

Have no fear.

I am with you,

Always
