Patsy Ann Reed Capps of Cypress, TX passed away March 29, 2023, at home surrounded by family. She is survived by her best friend and beloved husband of 59 years, David; daughters Jennifer Severinson (David), Pamela Allen (Steve), Patricia Capps Welton, and Stephanie Capps (Raul Pavon); as well as grandchildren Rachel, Ashley, Claire, Alexander, and Marielena. She is also survived by her siblings, Howard Reed and Dorothy Kirkham; sister-in-law Kathleen Tully; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Born on November 15, 1940, in Cleveland, Texas, Pat was the daughter of Jesse Robert Reed and Erma Ruby Reed. After graduating from Tarkington High School, she relocated to Houston and began working as a legal secretary. She and David married in 1964. In 1972, they moved to Cypress, to the home that Pat loved and resided in until her death. She worked in David's law office as his legal assistant until their retirement.

Pat's travels took her to many parts of the globe, but she felt a special connection to Rome and visited several times. She enjoyed gardening and nature photography, was a fabulous self-taught cook, and had a natural talent for writing. Her strong spirituality and faith in guardian angels provided comfort during difficult times. Most of all, Pat was a loving and fiercely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Houston Audubon Society.
