Wendi,
I loved your mom (my sister) more than you know. I will miss her terribly. So many things I should have written down because she was the only one to ask when you couldn't remember a date, something important that happened or someones name. She always knew the answer. I still can't believe shes gone. We have a lot of memories that we shared as you & Leisa were kids growing up. Always remember your Aunt Linda loves you no matter what. I pray that we will ALL be together again someday!
I love you, Aunt Linda
Georgia,
It always seemed more like you and I were sisters than me being your aunt. We had such fun as kids together at grammaw's house. I don't know where down the road we got so far apart. Just busy in our own lives and work I guess. Your mom was always so proud of what you have achieved as an adult because she always felt you had a tough childhood. She was most proud of you as a mother. She loved the twins more than you will ever know. I am so glad she was here long enough to get to know them and them to know her. Stay in touch and I love you. Linda
Peggy,
I will miss you always. I wish I could have had the opportunity to say goodbye. Know that I love you and will always pray that someday we will be together again with our kids, their kids and be happy ever after. Your sister,Linda

My Dear A. Peggy,
Thank you so much for being you. You are definitely one of a kind and loved by me and my family; Tony, Tyler, Victoria, Andrew and our unborn baby. My mom and I will share all of the memorable stories and pictures with our newest child as he will have missed out on knowing such a wonderful Aunt Peggy. I remember, you were always so protective and particular about your pens and pencils when I was a little girl. You didn’t want me using your “good” ones to draw with. Well, I am the same way with my pens and my daughter. Hmmm, was this an inherited trait or do I just love my pens? I will always love you for your picky ways and pinches under the arm. I could always count on you for the best cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving and your delicious chicken & dumplings. I could always call you for the best recipes and cooking secrets. I will cherish you in my heart with all the great memories and stories you have shared for years. I loved hearing you get so tickled over the same stories for years like if it had just happened yesterday. We could sit and laugh over the silliest things. You were a real joy to be with and I am going miss you, especially on birthdays and holiday gatherings. It won’t be the same without you. For now, I will just have to be patient until I see you again later beyond the golden gates of heaven.
I know you will make a great Angel!
~I love you always, Leisa
Wendi- my favorite Cuz,
I love you dearly. You know you can always count on me to be there for you. You need to know my thoughts and sympathies are with you everyday. My Mom and I both pray for you to be strong and have courage through this very sad and difficult time. It has to be an unbelievable feeling to lose someone you love so much. We can always talk anytime, day or night, that you may need my shoulder to lean on. That’s what friends and family are for.
~With my love and prayers, Leisa
Georgia,
I can only imagine how hard it is to lose someone who you love and has made such a difference. My heart goes out to you, Kevin, Sydney and Hunter. You too are in my prayers. I know it is hard explaining to the kids about Heaven. It may be something they will question again and again, but they too will have nothing but wonderful memories to keep in their hearts forever. Sydney and Hunter will have their own special stories to tell when they are older.
~With my love and prayers, Leisa

As a long time friend of Linda, I always looked forward to visiting with Peggy at holiday get-togethers. She was always full of information and stories. One of my favorite ones was when I went to Truman's funeral, Linda wasn't there yet so I walked to the casket, glancing over to where the family was sitting then went back and sat down. She told me later she didn't recognize me and they were all wondering who I was, even speculating I may be a secret girlfriend of Trumans! I was out of town when Peggy left us and am sorry I wasn't able to come and say good-bye. Linda and I have passed for sisters many times and I've considered myself part of the family, I will truly miss my other sister at our next gathering.

Peggy, you were like a second mom to me when you were my Mom's roomate back when I was a kid. I loved your chicken and dumplings. I even stayed in your house at one time. I'm sorry I didn't see you more later in life.
Georgia and Wendy, your Mom talked about you all the time. She loves you so much.
Bye Peggy, love ya, see ya later.

Ms. Beck,
I will always remember the meals, that we shared,
And how your generosity was present, which meant you cared.
You always told me stories, as if I was a longtime friend,
While others who new you longer, would say "Peggy, get to the end!"
I had the pleasure of helping you, like cutting your grass,
In hopes that you wouldn't tell me again, about the story with the glass.
At least I had the pleasure of knowing you, if only it had been sooner,
And I will never forget when you said, "I don't appreciate your sense of humor!"
You were only trying to be funny, that was part of your charm,
Like telling me to come closer, so you could pinch me on my arm.
Saying my goodbye, made it hard to believe this happened,
But hopefully when I see you in Heaven, we can go eat again at Captains.
It won't be for the food, but for the twinkle in your eye,
I know I will see you again, when we are both in the sky.
Love,
what's his name !
