So sorry to hear Bobby's passing. I first met him eight years ago at the hospitality room at MD Anderson. He was a great volunteer and all the people just loved him. When he wasn't there on his designated day people would always ask "where's Bobby". He made a lot of friends as a volunteer.
Our prayers goes out to you Deanna and Evan. We prayer for our Lord to give you strength, wisdom and peace at this time.

I met Bobby several years ago at the Hospitality Center at MD Anderson-- back in the day when he wore the Red Nose! I always looked forward to seeing him at my appointments, and I am saddened by his death. He gave a lot of people comfort at a difficult time, and I wish his family the same comfort now.

Mr. Blum,
Thank you, first and foremost for our friendship and the opportunity you gave me at the Municipal Court. There was never a dull day as your assistant, the trenches that we went through successfully and everything else you taught me along the way. I will never forget that because you believed in me back then, opened so many doors for me still today. I am very lucky to have had shared many years with you, and dipping our pretzels in yogurt, and sharing your infamous spaghetti with me and my family
It was my pleasure to have called you friend.
Deanna, Mr. Blum loves you very much, because he told me that all the time. God Bless you.

I was blessed and privileged to call Bob Blum my friend. He was a strong man before the lymphoma, but after he emerged as a beacon for those who were suffering and needed encouragement and hope. Bob offered his testimony and compassion to hundreds of individuals through his work at M.D. Anderson, and through his tireless efforts many were consoled and given peace to deal with their infirmities. While I offer my deepest condolensces to Deanna and Brian and the rest of Bob's family, I also rejoice in the knowledge that Bob is enjoying his reward in heaven and it will be a short while until we meet him again (1 Cor 15:52-57).

Deanna and Evan;

As you know....I was Blessed to meet Bob at MD Anderson during my treatment for Breast Cancer over 9 years ago. Bob was a fighter and would tell me " Claim your victory today over your illness.. in Jesus's name you will be healed."

Bob was an inspiration for anyone battling illness of the body or soul. He was a true servant of God. I know the Lord put him in my path that day 9 years ago and I am forever grateful. Today, I know Bob is standing in the glory of God healed of all his illness and suffering hearing the Lord say..."Well done my good and faitful servant."

May you and Evan feel Gods peace and Mercy in the days ahead.

It was always interesting working with Bob when he was the city purchasing agent; he was definitely the most colorful person we ever had in that position! I am so glad that he had a good life in retirement and was able to bring comfort to so many people as a volunteer chaplain. Bob was an original, and we will miss him very much.

Deanna and family, the absenced of a loved one can be devastating- we know. Listen to the promises Our Heavenly Father has made:"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Be comforted and strengthen by the words of the one who can not lie. [Titus 1:2]

Mr. Blum,

I had such great experience working with you @ the municipal courts. I will cherish my memories. Thank you for standing at the information booth every morning waiting for me to walk in holding your watch up and of course I was always never on time. According to your watch. I was always a minute or two late. You gave me the opportunity to become fulltime. I will always thank you for that. Deanna you took care of him so much. May god be with you and his family in this time.
