Robert Pearce Obituary

Robert D. Pearce died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the age of 96. He was born in Punta Gorda, British Honduras to Lawson M. Pearce and Sarah Elizabeth Mason Pearce. Robert grew up in San Antonio, throwing newspapers and working other jobs to earn needed income for the family during the Depression of the 1930s. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1939 and served his country as an Army Captain during WWII. Robert was part of the effort to build the Alaska Highway. He was a self employed CPA in Houston for over 50 years. Robert retired to New Braunfels near the river that he had enjoyed since his youth. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ann; children: Nelson (Leslie); Betty (John); and Anita; two grandchildren: Amber; Austin (Jennifer); two great grandchildren: Nels and Russell; sister: Gladys Kunkel and niece, Jean DeKunder; along with many wonderful friends and neighbors.
