Suzanne Reynolds Obituary

Suzanne Linbeck Reynolds
07/29/1937 - 01/18/2023
Suzanne Linbeck Reynolds passed away peacefully on January 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frank Fisher Reynolds, Jr., her parents, Leo Edward Linbeck and Patti Ruth Maloney Linbeck, her brother Leo Edward Linbeck, Jr. and wife Connie, and her sister, Patricia "Poppy" Linbeck Doyle. She is survived by her five children, Frank Fisher Reynolds, III and wife Maria, Rev. Stephen Bartlett Reynolds, Kent Linbeck Reynolds and wife Alissa, Suzanne "Muffet" Reynolds Laine and husband Matthew, and Andrea Leigh Reynolds; twelve grandchildren, Fisher Reynolds, IV and wife Brooke, Kayla Tompkins, Stephen Reynolds, Carmen Reynolds, Rebecca Reynolds, Virginia Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds, Reid Laine, John Reynolds, Caroline Laine, Matthew Laine, Jr. and Charles Laine; one great-grandchild, Jacqueline Reynolds; brothers-in-law, Peter Doyle, Norman Reynolds and wife Sally, Richard Reynolds and wife Susie; sisters-in-law, Bette Linbeck, Judy Brand; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
Born July 29, 1937 in Houston, Texas, Suzanne attended St. Anne School, St. Agnes Academy (class of 1955), St. Mary's College, Barat College and The University of St. Thomas.
On September 7, 1959, she married the love of her life, Fisher Reynolds, Jr.
Her concern for the unborn led to her involvement in the founding of, and leadership in, both Houston Right to Life and Texas Right to Life.
She was a devoted, lifelong member of St. Anne and Holy Rosary Parishes.
She was a member of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, the Knights of Malta, St. Anne Guild, Charity Guild of Catholic Women, Sarabande, Allegro and the River Oaks Country Club. She also served on the Board of Directors of the University of St. Thomas.
First and foremost, Suzanne was an outstanding model of a Christian wife and mother who was dedicated to her husband and children. Her strong faith provided a foundation of values that were passed on to her children and grandchildren. Together with her husband, Suzanne accompanied her children and grandchildren throughout their sacramental lives. Nothing ever interfered with the attention she gave her family.
She always enjoyed spending time with her family and was particularly fond of shopping with her grandchildren for their birthdays and attending their school events.
The family would like to thank her daughter, Andrea, for her generous and loving care of Suzanne throughout the past many years.
Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. January 25, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. January 26, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church with principal celebrant Rev. Stephen Bartlett Reynolds. Rite of Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Lawndale.

To me, she was Fisher and Bart's mother when we were at St. Thomas High School. A kind and beautiful lady who was always friendly and charitable. Eternal rest.
