Dear Judy and Debbie,
Didn't Uncle Walt always have a way of making you feel you were his favorite? And, he was so very special you really, really wanted to be his favorite! How grand that you two wonderful women had him for your Dad.

My most cherished memory is when Uncle Walt would recite the poem "Little Orphan Annie" by James Whitcomb Riley. I can vividly recall it even though it was years and years ago! I love you Uncle Walt!

The family's loss is heaven's gain. I vividly remember how Mr. McCracken would make short order of the newspaper's daily crossword puzzle. From time to time, one may have challenged him but rarely did one ever get the best of him. The speed with which he dispatched each puzzle was something to behold...simply amazing! He will be missed.

It was an honor to be apart of Mr. McCracken's life in the past couple of weeks. The last thing he said to me while holding my hand was "I'm so glad to see your smiling face-I'm glad your with me".....I will always cherish that moment and the sweetness of his spirit...........
May God strengthen you with the wonderful memories of a great man!
