William Frank Peska

WILLIAM FRANK PESKA, born in Sealy, Texas on December 8, 1924, took his journey to be with the Lord on June 20, 2002 at 9:35 a.m. William served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Triangulum from 7/17/43 through 1/11/46. He was a dedicated employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 40 years. He enjoyed playing the accordion for the Czech Heritage Singers of Houston and surrounding area, membership in the Polka Club of America, and original member of the P.o.L.K. of A. Choir. His love for family activities included dancing, coaching little league baseball for 25 years, fishing, golf, pitching washers, cards, and dominoes. He will be loved and missed by Mary E. Peska, his loving and devoted wife for over 54 years, his four sons, William Ray and wife, Hazel; Bernard Wayne and wife, Melanie; Robert Joe and wife, Regina; Bryan Alan and wife, Debbi; and grandchildren, Tony, Stephanie, Ashley, Benjamin, Brittani, Beau, Kaylie, and Conner; and step-grandchildren, Tyler, Devin, and Danielle; and many relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Larry Martin, Jimmy Peska, Danny Shimek, Randy Schulz, Tony Peska, and Benjamin Peska. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2002 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway with Rev. Paul Chovanec officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2002, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 10688 Shadow Wood, by Rev. Michael J. Carmody. Rite of Committal will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks the staff of Houston Hospice for their support and care.
