Arnold Luebke Obituary

Luebke, Arnold C.

Arnold C. Luebke, age 95, of 3511 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, August 2, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on July 31, 1920 in Newton, son of the late Arnold and Elsa (Waack) Luebke. Arnie served with the United States Army. On October 17, 1945 he married the former Ruth Carol Vetter in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2008. Arnie began his employment with Stocks Manufacturing of Newton in 1948 until his retirement in 1983 at the age of 62. He was a member of the Newton Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Arnie was also an active volunteer for the Manitowoc Senior Center and the Manitowoc County Fair.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Jeanne and Dennis Helke, Indianapolis, IN; three sons and three daughters-in-law: Jerry and Marilyn Luekbe, Charles Luebke, Chris and Debbie Luebke, Sue Luebke, all of Manitowoc; ten grandchildren: Jim Helke, Sadie (Brian) Crawford, Sabrina (Sam) Woodford, Mike (Guangxiao) Helke, Becky (Tige) Prickett, Jesse (Erika) Luebke, Petra (Ryan) Morris, Koren Luebke, Kari Luebke and fiancé Nathan Kopecky, Andrew Luebke; fourteen great grandchildren: Samantha, Saige, Sarren, Wanjing, Wancai, Hannah, Molly, Ava, Sloane, Hudson, Vada, Noapeh, Huyanna and Everleigh. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Edmund and Edna Luebke, Art and Florence Luebke, Rueben Luebke; one sister and brother-in-law: Ida Mae and Richard Kujawski; and a brother-in-law: Donald Vetter.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be the Rev. Robert Kujawski with burial of the cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 until 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials would be appreciated to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Arnie's greatest joy was spending time with his family.
