Dave was a great Uncle! He was always smiling and messing around. He loved his family so much. He was so proud of his boys and even more proud of his Grandchildren. Him and Erica always made time to visit family constantly. It always meant a lot to our family. We will miss his visits back to Colorado and his loving and incurring words. Love , Nick and Naomi Ganje

I have so many fond memories of my Uncle Dave .... He was such a loving man who always gave big bear hugs, kisses and was never stingy with saying, I love you. He wasn´t just an uncle, he was a very loving father figure to many, including myself. He´s always been here throughout my lifetime and it will feel very strange, never getting to see his smile or hear his contagious laugh again. But I will always have my memories....

The family camping trips; Friday night poker parties; pretty much living at your house (right behind ours), especially during summertime because you guys had the pool; Driving many of your cars without permission, when I was a teenager (sorry) and even getting into an accident with one (sorry again); Wood chopping in the mountains - your Jeep Wagoneer (with wood paneling) getting a flat tire on the way home. You me and Dennis telling scary stories until help arrived (Erika); Fishing with you and my dad - I caught the biggest carp of us all (I was 10); And always being present at all of our celebrations!

The most recent memory I will never forget is getting to celebrate your last 81st birthday. You and my dad hadn´t seen each other in many years and at the end of the night, you both hugged each other. That brought me the biggest joy, and a few tears, to see old pals reunite, telling old stories over dinner was priceless.

And lastly, you finally meet my dog, George. He was so happy you gave him a whole stick of cheese!

I hope you are having as many milkshakes and peanut buster parfaits as you want while playing poker and golf until there is no tomorrow!

Big hug, kiss and I love you.

I will love and cherish memories like these. My friend Holly got us access to Albertsons Stadium and my nephew was going to BSU at the time. But I didn't tell them he was joining us for lunch. He was walking towards their vehicle and my mom says "Look! There's Devin", thinking he was walking by. haha

I was so sad to hear of Dave's passing yesterday at the golf course in downtown Caldwell. I'm glad I was there last week and was able to shake his hand and talk to him for what I didn't know would be the last time. Dave lived in the same neighborhood as my late mother. I met Dave years ago at the golf course and had many great conversations with him as our views were the same. He was a great guy and will be missed.Peace of the Lord to you Dave and your family.
