We knew him as Uncle George. He was my Moms older brother. He and Aunt Lee were always present in our life. Whether up in Donnelly at our cabins or back home in Eagle they were never far from Richard and I. Uncle George was sharp as could be up until his last days. He had a loving family looking out for him. He was always loved and never forgotten. He will be remembered as a bright spot in our heart.

I worked with George on many occasions when I worked for Governor Andrus. He was always very friendly and he knew a lot about a lot of things, and he knew people in a lot of different agencies.
When the Department of Juvenile Corrections was created under Governor Batt, George was picked to put it all together, and I was the first hiring he made. I will always appreciate his confidence in me.
George will be missed by many.
