Patrick Fisher Obituary

Emmett - Patrick "Pat" Oliver Fisher passed away on February 25, 2025, in Boise, Idaho at 79 years old.

Born on October 29, 1945, in South Bend, Indiana to Harold Fisher and Arlene Davis, he was the middle of three siblings. Pat spent most of his fond childhood years in Niles, Michigan. Swinging on vines in the forests, haunting the old cemetery, playing football, visiting his grandparents, and playing the tambourine in Tommy's (Tommy James and the Shondells) basement were some of his favorite memories.

At the age of 19 Pat was Called to Active Duty into the US Navy. Pat received an honorable discharge in 1967 as an E4 RM3 (Radioman 3rd Class). His Navy time brought him to Dixon, CA where he played on the Semi-Pro Football team - The Sacramento Statesman. Patrick ended up in Napa where he met Veronica Bryant, got married and had two children Erik and Jessica. He was an amazing father. Always positive, supportive, encouraging and loving.

Camping with his family was one of his favorite adventures. He also enjoyed canoeing, hunting, fishing, taking road trips with his kids and playing pool.

Pat volunteered for the Napa County Mounted Sheriff's Posse, in which he was a member for over 30 years. Pat worked for the Napa County Department of Corrections for many years. After his retirement from Corrections, Pat continued working in security. He was always admired and respected.

Family was Patrick's everything. When he became a grandfather to Olivia Valtierra (14), Emily Valtierra (12), Hailey Fisher (11) and Austin Fisher (9), he was beyond overjoyed. Like he did with his own kids, he attempted to make every sporting event or performance they had. He loved them beyond measure.

Patrick's legacy of laughter, love, and dedication to others will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Parlor of Garden City.

Dear Pat -
I am so sorry to read that you passed away. Some of my best memories are the years we all spent together in the Napa County Mounted Sheriff's Posse. The teamwork on horseback, qualifying shoots, hard work, and lots of laughs, too!
I live in Idaho, and if I had known, it would have been an honor to attend your service.
This world has lost another great one, and my condolences to your family.

Pat ("Fish") was a great high school friend of a lot of us. Good athlete and fun as hell. Very popular. We're all saddened by Pat's early departure. Pete Smith
