My sister Dorothy Peterson and I send sincere sympathy to all the Skinner families. We were born and raised in Jordan Valley and have known the family for years. Bob was certainly a very special person. We so enjoyed his friendship along with his wife Sara.

Uncle Bob you will be missed by many, as well as your knowledge of the land, it's history and the family stories passed down. The family and friends that you shared your life with have been given a gift we can all treasure forever. In every visit to the ranch you always shared so much history and the work behind it that brought it to where it is today. Those visits were very precious to me and my boys. I can only say you have left an impression on us that I value greatly. You were always so strong and your desire and compassion for the land, its animals and the community around it shined in everything you did. You were a true patriarch . My father has some really amazing siblings. Grandma and Grandpa did a great job raising such a large family in such hard times. You will now join Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Bill, Uncle Kirt and so many others that preceded you. We wish you all well and look forward to the family reunion on the other side. You have left an incredible legacy that will live on forever.
Love you lots,
Diana

Bob was such a class act. When someone is so much larger than life, they leave a hole in your heart.

When we first came to Danner, Bob and Sara helped us feel right at home. Bob was such a humble, down-to-earth person, he made it easy to ask questions or seek advice. And his advice was always worth having. Even years later, while we were living elsewhere and had returned to JV for a day he was glad to drop everything and spend time visiting. We will sure miss him.
