Ray Widmer Obituary

Ray L. Widmer Jr.
GENEVA, Idaho – Ray L. Widmer Jr., 50, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls on Friday, Feb, 22, 2008, due to injuries suffered in an ATV accident.
He was born July 12, 1957, in Geneva, Idaho, to Ray and Betty Widmer. He lived his entire life in Geneva, where he loved working on his farm. He owned and operated Ray Man Trucking, LLC, a business he began in 1997. Ray also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and hunting. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ray married Laura Marie Hunzeker on June 15, 1979 in Geneva, Idaho. They have two children, R.L. (JoAnne) and Jenna Widmer. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Widmer, four sisters, Terry (Ray) Haskell, Daleine Widmer, Susie Moore, and Jane Widmer, two brothers, John (Wendy) Mickelson, and Don (Teresa) Widmer, and his first grandchild expected in July. Ray was preceded in death by his father Ray L. Widmer and several other family members. He will be missed by many friends and family members.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 12 noon in the Geneva LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday evening at Matthews Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m. The interment will be in the Geneva Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary of Montpelier.

I'm so sorry hear this news. I will really miss Ray L. I'm sorry that I was not able to attend the services. My prayers are with you at this time of loss.

I've been through a lot of heartbreaking ordeals, but i never knew what real heartache was until daddy's little girl lost her daddy. Things will never be the same for me. A piece of me went with him when he passed on and nothing will ever replace it. He was my everything and I can't wait to see him again.
