Tim Flandro Obituary

Tim R. Flandro, age 80, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away peacefully of natural causes at Quail Ridge Assisted Living on July 14, 2025. Tim was born March 31, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho to C. Ed and Stella Flandro. He was raised and educated in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1963. Tim attended Idaho State University for two years where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He then transferred to the University of Oregon, graduating in 1967 with a degree in Business Administration. During his high school and college years, he worked summers for the US Forest Service and Avis Rent-A-Car in West Yellowstone, Montana.

Upon graduation from the University of Oregon, he worked for Western Airlines in West Yellowstone. Tim enjoyed the benefits and traveled extensively. In 1969, he joined the family business of C. Ed Flandro Ford, Inc. in Pocatello, Idaho in sales, and later in management. He was active in the Ford Motor Company Dealer Council, the Idaho Auto Dealers Association, and the Idaho State University Bengal Foundation.

Tim married Dana S. McCarroll on July 27, 1979. They later divorced on January 7, 2002.

Tim enjoyed entertaining family and friends at "The Cabin" on Hebgen Lake, Montana. He could often be seen floating the lake with a fishing pole in the water without a lure on it or in his kayak with his dogs as passengers visiting the neighbors. Tim's favorite hobbies involved his dogs, skiing, boating, hot tubbing, and f course, "Happy Hour".

Tim is survived by his sister, Susan Flandro; long-time family friend Dr Nancy Parry; sister-in-law, Debbie Flandro; nephew, Cory E Flandro; nieces, Melonnie (Frank) Green, Jeralyn (Rod) Herron Hamlin, and 7 grandnieces/nephews and 14 great grandnieces/nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Kirk Flandro in 1979; and his brother, Ted Flandro in 2021.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Heritage Home Health Care and Quail Ridge Assisted Living for their loving care of Tim.

My first Memory of Dear Tim was when I met him at the Flandro Cabin
We were both still in High School
He was so kind and sweet I often thought what a neat guy he was
I´m was blessed to have his big Sister in my life for60 years and often we would come to the cabin and Tom would take out us out in the boat and never let us pay for gas
When we would go to a restaurant he would always go give the credit card to the hostess so he for sure picked up the bill
I will miss his wonderful smile and will miss him at the Flandro Family parties
Your are at peace now Dear Time
Love, Janet Parry
