Boise, Idaho - Anthony W. Katz passed away peacefully June 16, 2022.
He is now able to be with his beloved wife "Peggy".
Tony was born June 27, 1939, Detroit Michigan.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956, served on the USS Bennington (CVS-20) was Honorably Discharged in 1960, and remained in the USN Reserves until 1962.
He landed in San Diego after the Navy and that was where he met and married his beloved "Peggy" in 1975.
Together they successfully owned and operated a small restaurant called "The Catfish Hut" as well as a Union 76 Service Station before moving to Boise in 1982.
In Boise Tony and Peggy both worked at and retired from St Lukes Hospital.
At St Lukes Tony was a well-respected and popular Security Guard.
Tony was a skilled journeyman auto mechanic and was most happy when working on, driving or showing off his classic Ford Thunderbird.
Those close to Tony knew him as an incredibly self-sufficient, strong-willed "hands-on" person.
