I remember when my dad (Leon) and I took Clancy, Kevin and Kelly deep sea fishing in our boat. We left out of Illwaco,OR and had to cross the Columbia River bar to get out into the ocean. While we were crossing the bar my dad and I were in the front of the boat and dada was driving. Thhe rollers and swells were probably 30 feet high and the boat was airborne numerous times. Dad and I could see what was coming at us and it was an extremely scary and dangerous situation. However in the back of the boat Clancy and the boy's were hooting and hollering like they were on an amusement ride. Once we got to the open ocean the seas calmed and we had a very successful day of catching silver salmon and limited out.
