Luis Vega Obituary

Luis Antonio Vega
August 3, 1975 - June 25, 2022
Boise, Idaho - Luis Antonio Vega was born August 3, 1975, in Boise, Idaho, to Maria del Carmen Rios and Jose Guadalupe Vega. He transcended to the hereafter on June 25, 2022, and for a moment took the sunshine with him. Luis, affectionately called Tony by school friends and Louie by his family, was a talented artist who at a very early age displayed a deep artistic way of interpreting his life and struggles. He had a passion for the arts and worked as a high school apprentice for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in 1992.
Louie's love of music went beyond the average avid music enthusiast with musical interests ranging from Ute Lemper, Al Jarreau, and The Beatles. His love of music was always his saving grace throughout all his challenges, soothing his soul and providing him with comfort wherever he could access his playlist. Louie was a gift to his family and friends and entertained many with his playful sense of humor and ability to mimic family, as well as his favorite actors. Louie had a deep love of animals and rescued two cats from the Humane Society: Star Kitty, to whom Louie dedicated Chicago's "Color My World," and Paw Kitty, whom he called "my little friend." He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, nephew, father, grandfather, and friend.
Louie is survived by his daughter, Noel Ballinger; his three grandchildren; his mother, Carmen Vega; his sisters, Dora, Perla and Cecilia Vega, Rosa Garcia, Norma McMann, and Mary Nofsinger Briggs; a special niece, Carmen Adams, as well as a massive extended, close-knit family that he loved earnestly. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Guadalupe Vega, and his brother, Jose Guadalupe Vega II.
Friends and family are invited to attend a service on Saturday, July 9, 2022, 11am, at the Bristol Heights LDS Chapel at 6375 N. Royal Park Ave., Boise, Idaho. Any tributes and condolences can be left at www.relyeafuneralchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Louie's honor to NAMI of Idaho and the Idaho Humane Society.

Eight months just went by, and I still feel your presence here at home. I still recall you sitting on the floor in the PC room , watching me comb the many tangles from Paw Kitty and out of the blue saying "mom, you have a good heart." my reply, "well thank you mijo." I still think that you will knock on my door and tell me "mom, I'm having seizures." I never regretted taking care of you. Even though you are not here, you will always live in my heart. I love you. RIP

It has been six months since you left, and I still think that you are here with me, I miss your quiet demeanor and unique way of showing how much you appreciated me. My life feels so empty but like I always advocated for you, I will make sure you are not forgotten. RIP mijo.
