Madele Klusmire Obituary

Madele Klusmire left this world Thursday January 20th to be with her beloved husband Ken Klusmire, her sister Rita Dwyer whom she adored and her Lord God whom worshiped. She was 93. Madele was an intensely private person who on the other hand, won friends quickly with her uninhibited playful wit and charm. Madele was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1917. She lost her parents early in life. She and her sister Rita were raised and lovingly cared for by their grandparents through the Depression. Just after WWII, she met the love of her life Ken, a handsome Air Force pilot in Honolulu, Hawaii where she was working. Madele & Ken were married and had their only child, Kenny in Honolulu. When Ken retired from the Air Force in 1962, they moved to Sacramento where Madele & Ken lived most their lives. When Ken developed Alzheimer's disease, Madele faithfully took on the roll as caregiver to her husband for 12 years until his death in September 2003. The last chapter of Madele's life took place in Boise Idaho. When Madele became disabled, her son Kenny moved her to Boise in 2005 where he cared for her at home until her passing. Madele leaves behind her son Kenny, her sisters son, nephew, Eddie "Bubba" Dwyer of San Antonio, her brother-in-law, Galen Klusmire of Carmel California, nephews John Klusmire of Marina California, Paul Klusmire, Jim Scofield of Missoula, Montana and niece Kathy Sheetz of Massachusetts, and California. In keeping with her private nature, it was Madele's wish to keep her commemoration simple and private so no public memorial has been planned. She only asked to have a Catholic Mass offered at St. Mary's Church in Boise.

Ken, your Mother loved you so much; and what a wonderful son she raised! Now she & your Dad are in Heaven to continue their joyous work of being your guardian angels. We know you will miss Little Mama; she was such a part of your Boise life these last years. What a firecracker has arrived in Heaven! We loved her so much and offer our deepest condolences.
