Michael Patrick Kelly II, 32, From Comptonville, CA/Meridian, ID, Died Sat. Nov 16, 2013
Mike was born 11/29/80 in Boise ID to Mike and Debbie Kelly.
He is survived by his parents, a brother Jeremy, Grandmother Rose McClue, wife Alicia Miller, niece Chloe, two special cousins who were more like sisters, Lexi Swensen and Karissa Freedman, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mike was a 1999 graduate of Eagle High School. He was an accomplished wrestler, winning numerous awards. He was known for his hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling.
Mike's career with the US Forest Service began in 2001 until his death. Mike had truly found his calling and loved being a wildland firefighter and smokejumper. In the off season, Mike was a world traveler, from the Amazon to Switzerland, with Brazil holding a special place in his heart. Besides traveling, Mike's interests included; snowboarding, surfing, rock climbing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Mike was also known for his gardening skills, and would help friends out with their gardens.
In 2010, Mike married Alicia Miller.
A celebration of life for Mike will be, Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, 2:00 PM, at Foothills Christian Church, 9655 West State St., Boise, Id. 83714 with reception to follow. Flowers may be sent to this address on Dec. 9, 2013.

Mike, I will always remember you as the guy who taught me the correct way to say "Boise." When we worked together on the Inyo, you used to say, "It's cool, it's cool," which meant of course that whatever was happening was definitely NOT cool! One time during morning PT in Mammoth I was running as fast as I could and you floated by me like I wasn't even moving. A few years later, in 2008, Crew 2 was on a fire with the Tahoe Hotshots, and you came over to our campfire one night to share some stories. Strong sense of community that night. You will be missed.

Mike and Debbie, It has been a very long time since Im have seen my family has seen your family, I use to watch both Michael and Jeremy in my daycare when they were very young. My daycare was on Orchard across from Hillcrest School. It seems like Michael had a very good life and lived it to the fullest. And he was so handsome too.
