Rebecca Weaver Obituary

Rebecca Ann Bruning Weaver
1955 ~ 2015
Rebecca Weaver, 60, was called home Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Boise. She was surrounded by love and holding the hands of her beloved husband and 2 daughters. Her sparkling eyes and giving nature captivated all who knew and loved her.
Becky, born in Twin Falls, Idaho on October 17, 1955, was the middle child of Richard and Patricia Bruning. She spent her early childhood in Twin Falls, ID and Denver, CO and then moved to Boise, ID in grade school where she spent the remainder of her life.
Becky spent her youth playing sports and making friends everywhere she went. She loved waterskiing, snow-skiing, and dancing for the drill team. Becky graduated from Boise High School in 1974.
Becky had a special bond with her husband Gerry. They formed a friendship early on as they both enjoyed teaching skiing together at Bogus Basin. It didn't take them long to realize they wanted a life and family together and they married 3 months after they began dating on January 17, 1976. Together they embarked on many adventures and created many memories. Those that knew Becky and Gerry together knew they were truly soul mates. They supported each other in all of life's joys and sorrows. There was no denying that they were meant to spend life together and their love was still strong after almost 40 years of marriage.
Becky found much success in her professional life as a real estate agent, travel agent, staffing recruiter, regional vice president of an international staffing company, and as a small business owner. She loved working with people and people tell of her amazing ability to inspire, lead, and motivate. She was fully committed, passionate, and successful at each professional endeavor.
Becky and Gerry had 2 daughters. Becky cherished her daughters and the time she spent with them. She was often heard saying how much she loved her "little family". As a family they loved spending time at their cabin, waterskiing at Lucky Peak, snow-skiing, traveling, and golfing with family and friends.
Becky loved her 5 grandchildren unconditionally. She found joy in each child and made them feel special and loved. Each would say they had a special bond with her and they did. They all loved her and will miss her greatly.
While her friends and family feel her time was cut way too short, we are certain that God gained a devoted and loving angel. Becky will be deeply missed by her husband, Gerald Weaver; her daughter, Beth Ryan and her husband Chris; daughter, Amy Anglin and her husband Coy; brother, Rick Bruning (Cheri); sister, Shell Knight (Jay); sister-in-law, Kandy Weaver; brother-in-law, John Weaver (Jean); grandchildren, Grady and Tayla Ryan; Gavin, Rylee and Keira Anglin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Bruning; mother, Patricia Bruning (Slaughter); her father-in-law, Arthur Weaver; mother-in-law, Lillian Weaver (Brouws); father-in-law, Ralph Gilster; and her infant son, Benjamin.
Friends and relatives are invited to Becky's Celebration of Life at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 707 Fort Street, Boise, with a reception immediately following at The Stonehouse, 709 East Park Blvd., Boise.
Memorial donations may be made to City Light Women's and Children Center 208.368.9901.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Becky's memorial webpage at www.summersfuneral.com.

Beth and Gerry,
I first met Becky at Eagle Hills golf course, where she was so friendly and outgoing. Much to my surprise I learned I worked her husband and daughter Beth at Idaho Power! I will always miss her bright smile and infectious laughter. All my memories of Beth contain copious amounts of laughter from both of us!!!!!

I will miss her shining star.

My heart hurts to hear this news. Becky and I met years ago through business and her, Toni Smith and I quickly became friends. So many hours of laughter while drinking wine in the sun. She loved the sunshine (and the wine). Her family always came up in every conversation, she loved you all so much and was so proud of her children. We will miss the laughter, but think of her often.
