Shelly Michelle Roles-Meyer- Born Sept 30, 1960-Sept 25, 2013. Shelly Meyer attended Boise Valley Elementary grades 1-8. She attended Boise Ponderosa Pathfinder Club during those years and earned a "Pathfinder of the Year" award.
Shelly then attended Gem State Academy for high school. Shelly worked at the Champion Bake-n-Serve to earn money for her education.
After high school Shelly went to work for Idaho Product Industry for several years. She was then the office manager at Pioneer Title Company for four years.
Shelly moved to Portland Oregon and worked in real estate.
Idaho drew Shelly back after 10 years in Portland.
She loved to work in her father's garden growing award winning Dahlias. Showing Dahlias at the ADA County Fair was something she very much enjoyed.
Shelly was the night manager at the Good Samaritan Home for 5 years and got to know many folks from there. Shelly very much enjoyed the early morning bible studies group with fellow residents.
No matter where she went she made friends very easily. Shelly loved cats. Where ever she lived they were around and she always fed and made sure they were taken care of, even if they weren't hers.
Shelly will be missed by all of her friends and family. She is survived by her parents, Walker and Helen Roles of Boise, her 3 older brothers, Raymond Roles-Kuna, John LaRocque-Boise, Stewart LaRocque-Rifle, CO. and her 2 older sisters, Connie Otis-Boise and Angie Van Orden-Boise, and all of her 9 nieces and Nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the Boise Seventh-day Adventist Church located on Cloverdale South of Fairview Ave. October 26, 2013 at 2PM.
