Ruth Hash Obituary
She was born June 26, 1928 in Independence, the Flat Rock community, to the late Agnes Mae Baker and Robert Charlie Cox. She was the widow Allen C. Hash.
She is survived by her son and wife, Charles A. and Beckey Hash of Independence; daughter and husband, Alyce and Russ Kirk of Mouth of Wilson; five grandchildren, Chessie Brown and spouse, David, Jordan Hash and spouse, Lakin, Beth Kirk, Maggie Kirk and Scott Kirk; three great-grandchildren, Levi Brown, Zack Brown and Abygayle Hash; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Cox of Independence and Dove Cox of Monroe, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, with the Rev. Doug Turnmire and Bobby Cox officiating. Interment was in the Fox Cemetery in Independence.
Flowers appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Fox Cemetery, in care of, Joyce Phipps, Treas., 1852 Maple Road, Independence, Va. 24348.

Ruth was a precious lady.. went to church with her for years...visited her many times in the nursing home...She always had a kind word to say..Prayers for the family... Kyle and Mary Lou McGrady..
