David Dobson Obituary
Liberty, SC
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Dobson will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
David Cassell Dobson, 65, of Liberty, died Friday at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Arthur Dobson, Jr. and Elizabeth Cassell "Lib" Dobson. He was a Liberty High School Graduate and also earned an Associate's Degree from Tri-County Tech. He loved farming and going to auctions and was employed with Little-Woodall. He was a lifelong member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are his longtime companion, Pam Summey of the home, a sister, Mary Stratton(Rand) of Gaffney; a nephew Greg Dobson(Jennifer); a niece, Jennifer Dobson; a great nephew, Grady Dobson; a great niece, Abby Dobson; an aunt, Carolyn Shirley and her family; 2 special cousins, Foy Prichard(Joel) and Linda Robinson(Lewis); and numerous other close relatives.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, James R. "Jim" Dobson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church: 115 Slab Bridge Road Liberty, SC 29657. The family will be at the residence. Liberty Mortuary and Cremation Services are handling arrangements.
