Lorene Terry Burroughs, 88, loving wife of the late Ralph Burroughs, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at her residence.

Born in Anderson, SC, on September 16, 1929, Lorene was the daughter of the late Marshall and Cora Phillips Eaves. She worked as a machine operator in textiles where she later retired. Lorene loved flower gardening, crocheting, and visits to the mountains and yard sales.

Lorene is survived by her daughters, Betty Lee of the home and Judy Roach (Tommy) of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Ralph, Lorene was preceded in death by her children, Douglas Terry and Mary Terry Cooney; sisters, Irene Sanders and Sara Chambers; and brothers Marshall and Clinton Eaves.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Starr Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Michael Caldwell officiating.
