Ruth Caroline Gordon, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 28th, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Kirsten Oleanna Sten Hovland and the late Carl Nicholai Hovland.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Kristine Gordon and Carolyn Louise Gibson both of Anderson, SC and her niece Laura Hovland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Norman Hovland.

The Memorial Service will be held at The Gallant Chapel of First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Dennis Tedder officiating.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Chennault Parlor of First Presbyterian Church prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate at 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
