Andrew Duskie

CONCORD - Andrew Duskie went home to the Lord on Feb. 6, 2011. Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Troutman officiating. Burial followed at New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Mr. Duskie was born Sept.14, 1921, in Brownsville, Pa. to the late Anna Yanchus Duskie and Steve Duskie. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fidelia Penninger Duskie. Andrew was a World War II Combat Veteran serving with the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific and participated in the occupation of Japan. SEMPER FI . He retired from Harris Teeter after a 20 year career as Deli Manager. Survivors include his sons, Andrew Donald Duskie of Oak Island and Gary Lynn Duskie of Troutman, their wives, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
