Joseph Krall Obituary

Joseph Paul Krall

November 23, 1930 - October 23, 2021

Joseph Paul Krall passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, in Concord. He was 90 years old.

Joe was preceded by his parents, John and Elizabeth Krall; brother, John; and sister, Mary.

He is survived by his sisters, Anna and Irene; wife of 70 years, Eleanor; children, David, Gary, Jeff, Brad and Valerie; and his grandchildren, Brian, Justin, and Davonna.

Joe was born in Thompson, Pa., Nov. 23, 1930. He graduated from Thompson High School where he met Eleanor. They married in 1951, and began their family. Joe was a veteran of the Korean War where he served as a mortar man. He and Eleanor then purchased a dairy farm that they operated with their sons for many years. Joe and Eleanor relocated to the warmer climate of North Carolina in 1981. He enjoyed woodworking, dancing, and photography. Joe was known as a very friendly and talkative person who loved to joke and laugh, as well as trying to teach others how to speak Slovak any chance that he could. He will be greatly missed by many friends and extended family.

Joe had chosen the option of cremation and no formal funeral will be held other than a gathering of immediate family. Joe always referred to himself as a very lucky person who lived a full life. For those who would like to remember or honor him, please consider sharing a favorite memory of him on the condolences page or consider raising a glass in celebration of his life.
