Virginia Ahearn Obituary

On April 29, 2023, Virginia Ahearn, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 74 at Hospice of Sacred Heart in Dunmore, PA, surrounded by family and friends.
Ginny was born in Danville, PA, she was a graduate of Parkland High School, Gettysburg University and the University of Connecticut where she earned her MBA. She was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Ginny is survived by her loving husband Charles, of Kingsley, a devoted daughter Robin Brosius (Fred) and delightful granddaughters Luna and Lyra of Anchorage, AK, a sister Cathy (Bruce), Krasley, Linda (Fred) Zimmerman and a brother Robert (Maureen) Pfromm; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Pfromm, and brother, John.
Ginny was a member of the Harford Congregational Church where she served on Council and as treasurer for twenty-seven years as well as teaching Sunday School.
She was both a 4H and Girl Scout leader.
Her interests were many including raising sheep, chickens, and Scotch highland cows. baking rye bread, attending Montrose Adult classes, making baskets, gardening, travelling, volunteering at Saint Francis soup kitchen in Scranton and reading especially with her friends at Ladies of the Lake Book Club. In later years she learned to play bridge enjoying the challenge and friendships.
Services will be held June 18, 2023, at Green Gables Restaurant in New Milford, PA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Rail-Trail Council of NEPA, Inc. Uniondale, PA.

Ginny made it easy to be a friend. She was forever positive. I shall miss playing bridge with her. May she find everlasting peace.
