Darrell Teal Obituary

Darrell Q. Teal 59, Atlanta, Indiana, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at his home. He was born August 29, 1946 at Tipton, Indiana, the son of Oral and Helen Georgia (Stover) Teal. He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School, Class of 1965 and attended Anderson College. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church. Mr. Teal was a tool maker at Delco Remy at Anderson, Indiana for 31 years, retiring in 1998. He also was a Chief Technical Inspector for CRA Super Series Stock Car Racing and was one of the founders of the Atlanta Little League, assisting others in building the Little League ball diamonds at Atlanta. He coached Little League Baseball teams at Atlanta. He married, and is survived by, Neila (Thatcher) Teal on August 4, 1966. Also surviving is one son, Timothy (Deanna) Neil Teal, of Atlanta, Indiana; brothers, Edward Teal, of Noblesville, Jesse Teal of Fishers; grandchildren, Nikolos Teal and Madeline Teal, both of Atlanta, Indiana One brother preceded him in death, Marvin Teal. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel. Scott Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Atlanta Little League, co Hartley Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 407, Cicero, IN 46034.
