To the Warner Children:
Your Dad was a kind hearted businessman and he had a caring attitude for this particular time in his cutomer's life. I never shall forget the care he gave my Mom when my Dad passed away. He became a part of our family. During the week he picked her up and took her whereever she needed to go to complete her business. Not only did he do followup but he showed her the most respectful side of a gentleman. She loved Mr. Warner but her comment to him whenever they would meet would be I'm not ready to see you now!!!! She passed at the age of 96. She lived 35 years after my Dad. I sent Mr. Warner word that Mrs. Wadley had passed and he was very much saddened. The Gary business world will deeply miss him!!!!!

Mr. Warner was a kind, caring patience man; 1987 was the first time I had to make funeral arrangements. Choosing Smith, Bizzell, Warner and Son Funeral Home, Mr. Warner made that heartbreaking process more bearable. Then the next year 1988, I had to make another's family member's funeral arrangements and I choose Smith, Bizzell, Warner and Son Funeral Home again because of Mr. Warner's kindness from the year before. I pray the Lord's comfort upon Mr. Warner's family.

To The Warner Family,
Our sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Ede Warner. My dad and Ede were childhood friends growing up in East Chicago, IN and graduated from EC Washington High School a few years apart. Uncle Ede oversaw the burial of my grandmother(Nolie Hicks),my dad (William V. Scoggins Sr.) and several other family members. Daddy and Uncle Ede served in WWII together and will forever be known as "The Greatest Generation" to bless this planet. God Bless the entire Warner Family during this difficult time.
