John Hinton Obituary

John Leroy Hinton

age 72, passed away peacefully in his home in Bedford, IN on Friday, October 2, 2015. Hinton was born in Lima, Ohio and proudly served in the United States Army as a Countermeasures Search Specialist both in the US and Korea. While serving, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter Badge and Marksman Badge.

He went on to work for Conductron, a division of McDonnell Douglas Corporation, in St. Charles, MO, where he helped in development of the Apollo space mission. John then embarked on a long and successful career in sales. He sold everything from fences to electrical supplies. In his final sales role, Hinton was an employment recruiter for KellerNiemann, Inc, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also hosted an online blog radio show in 2009 called Let Freedom Ring with John and Michelle.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Stan Hinton and Betty (Davies) Morgan. Survived by his siblings: Herb, Duke, Sara, Chris, Mark and Ben; his four children: Billy Hinton, Stan Hinton, Jennifer (Hinton) Barnes & Amanda (Hinton) Wynant; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will host a memorial service, in honor of John, on Wednesday, October 14. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. for family and friends. Memorial service starts at 6 p.m. Please join us in remembrance at Speedway Church of the Nazarene, 5020 Crawfordsville Rd, Speedway, IN 46224.
