So sorry to hear of your loss, but I am sure Marvin is rejoicing at being in the presence of Christ free from the pain of Parkinsons. I always appreciated Marvin and especially so when we worked on several South Indiana Conference Journals together. He was easy to work with and always helpful. God bless you as you celebrate his life.

I was privileged to know Marvin during the time he served at Bethel United Methodist Church, during which time I served as a Nursery School teacher.
He was a man of much knowledge, and always seeking to learn more.
He was very conscientious in his role at BUMC, and in his ole as a human being.
He had an excellent sense of humor.
I was fortunate to know him.
Prayers and love to his family
during this time of loss...

We were blessed to know Marvin for many years.
Becky met Marvin when he served as Pastor at Irvington United Methodist Church. He encouraged Becky’s involvement in the church and his sermon about communion had a great impact on her spiritual life.
Years later our family was fortunate to learn that Marvin and Nancy were our neighbors and we became good friends. We enjoyed many visits together and Marvin had a gift for connecting with each of us in a special way. He was witty and well known in our family for his puns. His kindness, sense of humor and courage will long be remembered.
Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to Nancy and Stephen. You are loved and we keep you in our hearts and prayers during this time.
Love,
Mark, Becky, Matthew and Andrew

Our dear friend, Marvin, was like a member of our family. He was unfailingly kind, gentle and fun. His sense of humor was legendary. There are many stories we call "Marvin Jokes". We already miss him so much! Our sincerest sympathies to Nancy and Stephen.
