Michael Allen Schell
68, passed away November 19, 2011. He was born July 16, 1943 to William and Margaret (Terry) Schell Sexton.
Michael loved his family and friends deeply. He also loved spending his time traveling or outdoors, whether he was kayaking, hiking, mushroom hunting, salmon fishing or walking around the lake. Michael retired from the Indianapolis Star and worked at Avis Rental Car after retirement. He had been a volunteer firefighter in Boone County and Indianapolis, Wayne Twp.
He is survived by his son, Brian M. Schell; daughter, Sherri M. (Antonio) Coffey; sisters, Kathleen Hutchinson and Deborah Mosey; brother, Wayne Schell; grandchildren, Bianca, Isaiah, Elijah, Cesilie and Quintin; and nieces and nephews, Michael Hutchinson, James Hutchinson and Elaine Hutchinson-Clegg.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 in Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Single ton-Herr Southport Chapel , 7520 Madison Avenue. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.

I worked with Mike at the Star News for several years. He was a great guy & everyone thought highly of him. Mike never had a bad word to say of anyone.

I worked with Mike at Avis. No matter how hot or cold or hard much work he had on his plate he was always positive and had a smile. He will be greatly missed by so many. His family will be in our prayers.

We would like to send our deepest Sympathy to Mikes kids they have lost a really wonderful man and father .My Father worked with him at the Star News for many years.He was one of the Black cats and was very close with my Dad (Mutt) .You will be in our thoughts and Prayers though this difficult time.He is loved by many and will be missed by many .
