Paul Herman Gessler
92, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 12, 2013. He was born January 9, 1921 in Indianapolis, to Fritz Herman and MaeGessler (Blackford). Paul was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, and served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a machinist at General Motors Allison Division. Paul was a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church, The American Legion and Southport LIONS Club, of which he was very active. He married Helen Mae (Carver) on August 9, 1942, she preceded him in death, along with his parents; brother, Jesse Louis Matlock and Edward Meyers. Paul is survived by his two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by the Oldham Family. Calling will be on Thursday January 17, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hendryx Mortuary New Palestine Chapel , followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m.

I knew Paul as a member of the Edgewood United Methodist Church. He was a wonderful person, dedicated to helping his church family and attending worship service. He will be missed by everyone. My prayers for the famiily.
